Elegant Simplicity
When Ray Nasher commissioned architect Renzo Piano to build the Nasher, he requested “a museum without a roof.” Every piece of the museum design follows this original uncluttered vision, right down to the floating type exit signs. As a visitor’s first impression of the museum, the website mimics the spacious, airy feeling of the physical space.

In keeping with the clean, more exploratory concept, the museum walls are purposefully stripped of any informational plaques.
