The Nasher Sculpture Center is home to one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculpture in the world, the Raymond and Patsy Nasher collection. Settled in the heart of the Dallas Museum District, the museum is a spacious, private retreat where visitors can consume beautiful sculpture without distraction.

When Ray Nasher commissioned architect Renzo Piano to build the Nasher, he requested “a museum without a roof.” Every piece of the museum design follows this original uncluttered vision, right down to the floating type exit signs. As a visitor’s first impression of the museum, the website mimics the spacious, airy feeling of the physical space.
“We felt strongly that it had to be art that we wanted to live with, so the works really had to become members of the family.”
– Ray Nasher
A Tour Guide in Your Pocket
In keeping with the clean, more exploratory concept, the museum walls are purposefully stripped of any informational plaques. However, for those interested in more detailed research on the artist or art itself, we made it easy for them to quickly access. For any work currently on view, full descriptions and artist bios are included on the mobile site.
